The Quick Reference Guide is a summary of the Sixth ACCP Consensus Conference on Antithrombotic Therapy, published in full form in CHEST Vol. 119, No 1 (Suppl) January 2001.

The ACCP Quick Reference Guide is designed for all Palm OS compatible handheld devices. This may include Palm, Handspring, IBM, and Sony products.

The ACCP Quick Reference Guide application is currently only available for Palm OS compatible units running Palm OS 3.0 or greater.

The application, wordtogo.prc, is 153K. The document, ACCP_Guideline.pdb, is 122K.

Check the American College of Chest Physicians web site for updated materials. Updated documents will also appear on this site.

To download the application:

1. Enter through the Download center, select Download above.
2. On that page enter a valid email address, then complete the short survey.
3. If Documents To Go or Word To Go ARE NOT loaded on the handheld device:
   1. Select Word To Go Viewer, save wordtogo.prc to a folder.
   2. Select ACCP Quick Reference Guide on Antithrombotic Therapy, save ACCP_Guideline.pdb to a folder.
   3. Make sure the Hot sync manager is running.
   4. After downloading, then open the folder on your computer containg the 2 downloaded files. Double click on each of them, (single click on the Macintosh), to add them to the Hot Sync Manager.
4. If Documents To Go or Word To Go IS loaded on the handheld device:
   1. Select ACCP Quick Reference Guide on Antithrombotic Therapy, save ACCP_Guideline.pdb to a folder.
   2. Make sure the Hot sync manager is running.
   3. After downloading, then open the folder on your computer containg the downloaded file. Double click on ACCP_Guideline.pdb, (single click on the Macintosh), to add the file to the Hot Sync Manager.
5. Place your Palm in the cradle and press the hot sync button.
6. After completing the Hot Sync, remove your Palm from the cradle and tap the HOME icon.

To run the guideline:

Tap on the Home icon, then scroll down and select to the Word To Go icon.

Tap on the file, ACCP - Antithrombitic Ther.pdb.

Use the buttons and Scroll bars to view the document.

To close select Done.

To search for text, selct the Find button.

To navigate using pre-defined bookmarks, select the down wedge next to the Find button.

To use Bookmarks, select the down wedge next to the find button.

When the menu appears, shown on the left, select the topic.
